Hotels Hotels

Try http://www.hotelsprague.cz. Tell them where you want your hotel etc and they'll find a hotel for you and book it, all via email/the web! Here are 2 hotels we've booked through them before. It's also helpful to research some Prague hotels near attractions you'll want to visit while in the Czech republic.

UKocoura
UKocouraInside.JPG U Kocoura - The Tom Cat - Nerodova 2, near Malostranska Metro on the A line - Very enjoyable little bar. They have 2 of the best Czech beers on tap here so it get's an extra special mention :- Budvar 12 and Regent Dark 12. Half a litre cost only 22.50 crowns or 50 pence! Looks like a cellar inside which I also enjoyed.
UPravdu2.JPG
U Pravdu
Bars U Pravdu (The Truth) - Zitna 15, near Karlovo Namesti (Charles Sq.). Has a very nice beer garden behind it which made it a very enjoyable spot to have lunch and my 1st beer when I arrived in Prague. Food and beer were both cheap. Well worth visiting if you're in the area :-)

Jilska.JPG
U Vejvodu - Jilska 4 (corner of Vejvodovy), a bar with a great atmosphere and decor. The bar looks great! It's a beer cellar style place. Close to the center with good,.well priced beer. One of the barmen wasn't that friendly but I was only in there for 1 beer so I'm willing to give it another chance.

U Milosrdnych, (the Sisters of Mercy), U Milosrdnych 12, Stare Mesto. I didn't find any nuns inside just good beer! Good, friendly service in a nice quiet area of town.

U Svateho Tomase Bar

St Thomas's - Letenska 12 (Metro A to Malaostranska) - Very pricey, 40 crowns, for a bar on a street on it's own, nowhere near another bar or a square. Purely for novelty value if you're close to the castle. It's in a very nice beer cellar. If you're in the area I'd go for U Kocoura.

U Fleku Brew Pub
PolishGirlsinUFleku.JPG

BarsU Fleku Brew Pub Kremencova 11, Nove Mesto

Similar to the Hofbrauhaus in Munich. Worth a visit. Twice as expensive as the average pub in Prague. The prices have driven the locals away and you will only find other tourists here. It produces a very nice dark beer, Flekovsky. The waiters will try and give you a schnaps (Becherovka) with your beer. This is NOT free! Warning, the beer comes in 40cl glasses instead of the usual 50cl glasses.

This was inside U Fleku where I met 3 Poles. Cheers!

Europa.JPG
Europa
Hotel Europa - Vaclavske Namesti 25 - on the Wenceslas Square - Beer is not too bad considering this is on the main square, a half a litre is 60 crowns. Nice location and worth it just to view the grand interior. to view the grand interior. You can get beer at half these prices if you avoid the tourist squares.
