Aug. 12 & 13th La Chouffe and Luxembourg (my 40th country)
We stopped briefly in Liege/Luik on the way down and then went further down into the Ardennes. It's very pretty there will lots if hills and trees. We didn't book ahead early enough for the Chouffe bier festival (the town has only 3 hotels) so we ended up driving 8km down the road and staying in a hotel there. We left the car in the hotel and walked the 8km to the festival! On our way back, walking (there are no taxis in such a small village) a Belgian guy stopped and gave us a lift! We bought him a beer in a bar next to out hotel. The owners of the bar are both Dutch. One went to school with 1 of my Dutch friends! Small world eh!
Sunday we went to Luxembourg city. It's very pretty but not that lively on a Sunday. Luxembourg is my 40th country visited in the last 20 years!
