I flew to Bali with Jessica and her parents. I flew later as I had to work, boo hiss! When I landed I caught a taxi. Enter the WORST taxi driver in the world! He obviously had no idea where he was going and just hoped that he would find the hotel. I had to call the Udayana hotel twice. The owner even spoke in Indonesian to the driver and said to me that the driver spoke poor Indonesian and was a bit of an idiot and gave me the directions too. I eventually spotted the clock tower that marked the road to the Udayana Eco lodge and had to yell at the guy for a couple of minutes to go back!!!! A journey of 20 mins took an hour! I needed a beer!
Saturday
We had a lovely breakfast at the Eco lodge. It's a cool place! It has lots of Eco friendly features.
We hired a driver to take us round the island for a day.. We saw some pretty cool things. You do get lots of hassle from stall owners trying to sell you stuff. if you do want to buy stuff then haggle or walk away. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. What you do miss in the photos is the villages, each making different goods for the export market. Statues, wooden tables, bronze statues etc etc.
