Roger kindly met me at the airport and gave me a quick hug before I had time to warn him that I'd been 2 nights on a train and a night on a plane. Smelly) sorry Roger! Flies as always were there to welcome me ....... ;-)
Nice to be back in Oz, obviously the weather makes a difference and good friends but the friendliness of the Aussies is something else :-) Aussie immigration makes you feel welcome when you land (compare that with US immigration which was unwelcoming before 9/11).
I had a really good time. Roger & Fiona really looked after me :-) Sorry about the late mornings but that's the way I am! I must say that Matthew is a cute, happy baby. Just remember to eat lots of garlic, he has 2 front teeth and he likes to use them :-) Fingers, arms, carpets....... ;-)
We went to the Mclaren vineyard. Our first stop was Foggo's, R&F's favourite vineyard. I could see why, the owner and a favourite customer were trading friendly insults with each other :-) We went to my favourite Belgian bar after that. Our brain cells severely depleted, we went home. We heard that Dunc and Kirsten are to be married :-) Congrats!
We drove to Victor Harbour . Granite Island was cool, pity we didn't see any penguins :-( We did see a graceful ray in the water however!
